About the Role
The Harman Product Demo Experience team is seeking an individual with a passion for developing immersive and customer-centric product demo experiences. The Product Demo Experience operates globally as part of the Divisional Technology Auto One organization, tasked with the development and roll-out of the Auto One Experience Car fleet and Automotive Product Demo Experiences. In this role, you will work with Harman Automotive’s latest products and technologies to deliver user-centric automotive experiences to support our Marketing events, Business Development and Sales initiatives.
We are looking for a Demo Engineer, Product Demo Experience responsible for designing, development, deployment, and operation of HARMAN Automotive Product Demo Experiences. You will collaborate with all HARMAN Automotive Business Units and Engineering Horizontals, product management, Sales, and Marketing on the implementation and deployment of customer-centric product demo experiences that translate complex technical features into compelling stories that showcase key selling points to drive customer interest.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to engineering efforts during all Product Demo Creation process phases.
- Define Product Demo HW/SW systems and contribute to demo concept definition in close collaboration with Product Teams, Engineering Horizontals, and designers to deliver customer centric experiences.
- Own and execute hardware integration activities for new and existing demo experiences.
- Collaborate closely with the AutoOne team in Suzhou to align and consistently follow shared tools, processes, and reporting standards.
- Participate in cross platform product feature testing to ensure functional parity between AutoOne vehicles and product demos.
- Work closely with local product teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product demos and China market targeted demonstrators and proof-of-concepts.
- Prepare and maintain technical manuals and guidelines for product demos and demo cars.
- Support Demo Experiences to ensure delivery of immersive experiences during customer presentations and marketing events.
- Work closely with local Marketing Events team to define technical and logistic requirements for presentation of product demos and experience cars at tradeshows, customer events and roadshows.
- Maintain, service, and roll-out product demos and experience cars for internal and external presentations.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in automotive or embedded systems development, cross domain system integration and similar areas.
- Very good understanding of engineering and product development processes.
- Hands on experience with designing and building electrical systems. Basic soldering and wiring skills are preferred.
- Ability to quickly grasp and apply to new topics as well as a high degree of flexibility.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure with a high degree of independence, as well as a result driven and change oriented personality.
- Very good communication skills and ability to work as part of cross-functional teams, spread over different countries and regions.
- Good knowledge of Windows OS, Android and Linux OS.
