Senior Product Applications Engineer, Embedded Software & Hardware
The Automotive Audio & Networking (ANN) team partner with customers worldwide to deliver best in class technical solutions for the automotive market. We are looking to add an additional Senior Product Application Engineer to the growing ANN Applications team, focusing on a wide range of automotive network applications. As a member of the team, you will work directly with automotive OEM’s, Tier 1’s and internal teams to support their product development and overcome any technical obstacles from product concept to production. The ANN team are responsible for all of Analog Devices Network and Audio solutions in the automotive market – A2B, C2B and the breakthrough, 10BASE-T1S, E2B RCP product portfolio.The Role:The Automotive Audio and Networking (AAN) team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Applications Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with global automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and internal engineering teams to drive the adoption of cutting-edge automotive connectivity technologies, including A2B and the next-generation Ethernet-based E2B.You will play a key role in enabling new product adoption, developing proof-of-concepts, and delivering technical solutions that shape the future of in-vehicle networking and audio systems Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to define and shape new product features and specifications.
- Develop evaluation systems, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and demos aligned with strategic automotive applications.
- Customize and enhance software stacks, device drivers, and application code to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Create tools and utilities to streamline the customer design-in process.
- Engage directly with customers to understand technical challenges and provide timely, effective solutions.
- Author technical articles, white papers, and training materials for internal teams and external customers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- 6–8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in automotive systems and applications.
- Strong proficiency in C programming and embedded systems development.
- Proven experience in device driver development for industry-standard protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, I2S, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals and the ability to debug both hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with Functional Safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
