About the Role

This position is responsible for all aspects of Electronic Process team activity in HARMAN Suzhou. This includes Planning, controlling SMT boards assembly, final product assembly processes (including: SMT, AI, HI, Wave solder, Selective soldering, Coating, Assembly) to produce exceed customer expectation quality products, Project handling skills, be a strong team leadership and team player.

What You Will Do

  • Lead teams for different projects, balance assign tasks to the right person, handle team development process.
  • Lead and coordinate initial product transfer, new product launch and all related technical projects implementation.
  • Develop and prepare process flow, PFMEA and WI for all product assembly processes. Maintain & upgrade in accordance with customer and quality system requirements.
  • Continuous process improvement through upgrade assembly technology and process implication.
  • Plan production capability and manpower for new project to achieve SOP standard base on high efficiency and low cost.
  • Develop and design / fabricate jig & fixtures and gages according to process requirement.
  • Continuous driving and lead to improve process performance to attain high first-pass yield, lower production scrap.
  • Identify and propose new equipment that could reduce operating costs and analyze different tool designs for cost and production efficiency.
  • Identify and select equipment, process improvement, environmental activities, provide technical support for process team needs.
  • Participates in implementing and maintaining VDA/IATF16949 quality system.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing / Industry / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Five years or more’ experience in EMS Electronic manufacturing as a process engineer. Be a strong communicator and excellent team builder. Good experience in process area.
  • Proficient in 6 Sigma knowledge and with Green Belt title.
  • Familiar with LCM (Liquid Crystal Module), BLU (Backlight Unit) and OCA (Optical Bonding) related knowledge.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience on process flow, PFMEA and control plan.
  • Experience on automotive standards such as IATF16949 and VDA.
  • Experience for SPC, DOE analysis ability.
  • Experience for leading a new project in process side.
  • Strong communication skills and good leadership, strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability for mechanical structure design and analysis.
