As an Engineer Mechanical Component, you will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of gas turbine products, solutions, and systems. Working in a multi-disciplinary team they will strive to make improvements to new and existing products and components. The role requires excellent theoretical knowledge and an established foundation of function skills within mechanical design.
As an Engineer Mechanical Component, you will be responsible for:
- Executing under supervision the design, mechanical analysis (FEA), or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles
- Adhering projects to business and industry standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements (including mechanical engineering for all gas turbines products)
- Developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
- Providing engineering support to internal teams to assist with activities that span the full, technical project life cycle
- Supporting design concepts development and creating 3D models in a CAD environment; creating/releasing structural fabrication and machined forging drawings in TCE
- Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and to identify product improvements
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a degree in Engineering or a relevant experience in Engineering/Technology
- Have experience of working within an Engineering organization or environment
- Demonstrate experience of using CAD software such as Unigraphics or similar
- Have good background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Have problem solving skills
- Be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English
- Demonstrate team player attitude and inclusiveness.
