Job Details
The role is for advanced Level-1 technician / engineer with personal growth opportunities. The Engineer - IT Infrastructure Engineer I is as key part of a global IT Infra Operations team which manages Server, Network, Virtualization, Storage & Backup technology of Cencora core infrastructure. You will gain working exposure with teams from APAC, EMEA and AMER regions, alongside team of subject matter experts. The Engineer - IT Infrastructure Engineer I will be able to learn latest technologies in a structured and process-oriented environment.
Considering these factors, this role works a repeating 2-week schedule:
Week 1: Sat-Mon, Thu-Fri
Week 2: Tue-Wed
No night shifts or on-call duty required for this role:

  • Ensures completeness of technical requirements and functional architecture analysis for the support of system business solutions.
  • Identifies requirements, gaps or issues and assist business end users.
  • Works with impacted areas to ensure proper communication/review of requirements and support.
  • Evaluates technical requirements for incidents and requests to determine the impact to the infrastructure including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements.
  • Installs, configures, and tests infrastructure modifications against the change control authorize and schedule
  • Adheres to security requirements and makes recommendations to improve security and participates in investigations as needed.
  • Escalates incidents as per the process and in timely manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, assists in establishing requirements, methods and procedures for routine maintenance.
  • Ensures performance meets the present and future needs of the business.
  • Forecasts utilization patterns and identifies modifications or upgrades.
  • Ensures continuous monitoring procedures are set per the standard procedures and requirements.
  • Recommends changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability and performance.
  • Performs Level 1 incident assessment and resolution on infrastructure solutions.
  • Investigates alternative methods to expedite incident resolution.
  • Recommends procedures and controls for incident resolution or creates temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented.
  • Performs Level 1 request analysis and fulfillment on infrastructure solutions.
  • Researches, analyzes and recommends the implementation of software or hardware changes to rectify current problems or similar future problems.
  • Reviews checklists and scripts and updates as needed while ability to perform the task.
  • Works with auditors and security groups to ensure adherence to governance, regulations, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Works with vendors to resolve problems and develop infrastructure solutions.
  • Evaluates vendor solutions to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Documents new or modified infrastructure solutions, modules, test activities/results and other areas such as error handling into the incident ticket.
  • Proofreads documents for accuracy and follow the instructions to execute the steps.


  • Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of experience in one or more technology towers. Primarily Windows, Linux, VMware.
  • Knowledge on networking and storage. (Good understanding of multiple technologies a plus)
  • Experience working within an enterprise ticketing system - incidents, requests, change control - preferably Service-Now
  • Experience working within an enterprise monitoring systems - Alert, events, notifications - preferably NewRelic and Solarwinds
  • Relevant certification would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products.
  • Experience with general IT concepts beyond their primary discipline
  • Understand ITSM/ITIL service operations processes - INC, REQ Fulfillment and Change
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Assist next level engineers as needed, Level 2, SME and Engineering teams
