Responsibilities:
- Debug and fix complex bugs.
- Independently build new code, suggest architectures for moderately complex solutions
- Very good understanding of .net and C#
- Apply SOLID principles and software design patterns such as Dependency Injection
- Write reliable unit tests either in TDD or post-implementation to 80% of code coverage
- Encourage, mentor, and build the skills of other developers on the team
- Review all code against coding standards and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate effectively with testers and DevOps
- Diagnose any Third Line support enquiry
- Understand and resolve the root cause of support issues to prevent reoccurrence
- Understand that we work as a team and the team succeeds or fails together
- Actively contribute to sprint refinement, risk analysis, planning, review and retro meetings and development task estimations
- Understand the need for efficiency in code and can avoid writing inefficient code. Support other team members in efficient code design.
- Understand common security vulnerabilities and avoid introducing them in code
- Applies a methodical approach to routine and moderately complex issue definition and resolution.
- Performs a range of work, sometimes complex and non-routine, in a variety of environments.

What your background should look like
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
Work Experience:
6+ years of directly related or relevant experience, preferably in software designing and development.
Preferred Certifications:
Android Development Certification
Microsoft Asp.Net Certification
Microsoft Certified Engineer
Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architect Training and Certification, e.g. TOGAF
Certified Scrum Master
SAFe Agile Certification
DevOps Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience working in Microsoft .NET / C#
- Utilizes Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience with Databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL, Azure COSMOS
- Good problem-solving skills
- SOLID principles
- Design Patterns
- Dependency Injection
- Unit Testing, Integration Testing using NUnit/xUnit
- Understanding of REST web services
- Web UI development (including JQuery, React/Angular)
- Azure (or other cloud) PaaS services (functions, storage, key vault, etc)
- Azure CI/CD pipelines and Quality Gates.
- Containerisation (Docker Linux/Windows based)
- Experience working with any reporting tool.
- Experience in working with Agile SCRUM development methodology
- A passion for technology and developing your own technical skills and the skills of others.
- Accountable for completing all the assigned trainings before the due date.
- Effective at mentoring other team members.
