We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate global new product development projects, collaborating with manufacturing plants across Mexico and internationally to develop and launch global product platforms.
In this role, you will leverage your project management, APQP, manufacturing, organizational, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams and manage projects from the design phase through industrialization and mass production.

Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Corporate Engineering and manufacturing plants.
- Review and understand product design intent and provide feedback to Product Design Engineers based on the manufacturing capabilities of each plant.
- Assess manufacturing capabilities and identify process constraints, while estimating the investment required to integrate new processes into the production chain.
- Plan, monitor, execute, and deliver projects according to established quality, timing, cost, and safety targets and performance metrics.
- Generate, maintain, and track project deliverables throughout all project phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during product and process trials, conducting root-cause analysis and documenting lessons learned.
- Lead follow-up meetings with Corporate Engineering and manufacturing sites in Mexico to ensure effective project tracking, alignment, and communication.
- Analyze engineering drawings, product specifications, customer requirements, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Coordinate product and process trials, including sample builds, process validation, and product validation activities.
- Develop and issue process documentation required throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the final project handover to the manufacturing plant, ensuring all deliverables, documentation, and requirements are successfully transferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or chemical engineering, or a related field.
- +3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
- Proficiency in Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D.
- English
- Microsoft 365.
- Passport and American Visa.
