Design and analyze structural components for bridge and transportation infrastructure projects, including bridge superstructures and substructures, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures. Prepare structural design calculations, technical reports, and construction documents in accordance with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, state DOT criteria, and applicable codes. Perform load rating analyses and review design alternatives for constructability and compliance with client requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including roadway, geotechnical, and construction personnel, to deliver integrated design solutions. Assist in quantity development, engineering estimates, and preparation of inspection and evaluation reports. Utilize industry standard structural engineering software for analysis and design. Communicate technical information effectively through written reports and verbal coordination with internal teams and external clients.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field plus 6 months of experience as an Engineer II or any related occupation.
