Mechanical Engineer: Work on a variety of growth initiatives and work on a variety of growth initiatives in the electric and ICE vehicle space. The position requires the passion for learning about powertrain system design, supplier interactions, design and release of powertrain systems, and participate in projects in accordance with engineering excellence.
- Subject matter expert in one or more subsystems in mechanical vehicle architecture (motors, engines, CVTs, transaxles).
- Develop and maintain a vehicle and component mechanical specification and qualifications plan.
- Drive diligence and collaboration in requirements, risk analysis, DFMEA, DVP&R, engineering change notice and specifications.
- Employ project management methodologies that ensure a predictable outcome for department goals and responsibilities.
- Remove roadblocks and accelerate implementation of projects.
- Develop technology roadmaps and strategies that clearly articulate how we are going to continuously win in chosen markets.
- Drive culture of traceable test acceptance criteria using reliability and confidence in designs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Plastics Engineering Technology, or equivalent is required.
Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience is recommended.
- Continuously raise your level of leadership, authority, and influence.
- Proficient at identifying project/subsystem risks and developing/executing subsequent mitigation plans.
- The right individual will be self-motivated, a strong collaborator, able to think creatively and work with others to find solutions, drive execution, and focus on results.
- Strong passion to teach and grow capabilities of the company.
- Expert in technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.

- High capability in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
- This position may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.
- Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
