EverQuote is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing Agency Product team at our Cambridge, MA office in Kendall Square. This role is full-time hybrid, requiring at least two days per week in the office—primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lunch is provided in the office on both days.
As a member of the Engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering top-priority objectives that enhance and help grow EverQuote’s business. In this role, you will build application features and services that meet business needs while remaining scalable, performant, and easy to maintain. You will join a team of talented, collaborative engineers who are eager to grow and deliver.
What you’ll do:
Demonstrate professional programming experience regularly shipping code to production at a software product company.
Work with most of the following skills, technologies, tools, processes, and frameworks:
- Server-side languages: TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, or similar
- Front-end frameworks: React or other modern JavaScript frameworks
- Databases: Basic SQL-writing skills and experience in PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Cloud and containerization: Managed services (AWS or GCP), with an emphasis on Kubernetes deployments
- Observability: Tools such as New Relic and DataDog
- Infrastructure as code: languages like Terraform, or frameworks like AWS CDK
- AI: LLMs like ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar for your daily work
- Architectures: REST and event-based architectures, microservices-based approaches
- System design: Designing systems and articulating designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Agile methodologies: Experience with sprints, stand-ups, and other ceremonies
- Communication tools: Asynchronous (Slack, MS Teams, Google Docs) and synchronous (Google Meet, Zoom)
