Job Responsibilities:
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States.
The Application Engineer works in the application engineering customer team and supports overall tasks required to technically deliver projects to production. The Application engineer must be proficient in all disciplines of engineering, strong in customer relationships, and in proficient in general program or project management.
Support the Technical Project Lead (TPL) or Project Engineering Lead (PEL) during the engineering development of application programs with:• Defect management, coordination, and resolution of SW Verification, Validation, and Quality defects on a program• Problem resolution and 8D activities• BOM releases and coordination of release notes within the engineering team• Customer vehicle management and facilitate vehicle testing• Interfacing with the plant on prototype builds and component kitting• Tracking work assignments and completion of work packages• Change requests and change request implementation and monitoring• VA/VE and cost saving ideas during development• Development and maintenance of project documentation
