About the Role
The position of Electronics Engineer is a key position in HEA and is responsible for the electronics section of project engineering, covering a wide range of audio products, including BT speakers, Wi-Fi speakers, headphones, sound bars and multi-channel wireless sound systems. This role is crucial for driving technological excellence and innovation, ensuring high-performance, low-latency, high-quality, and cost-effective hardware architectures and platforms that enhance product functionality and user experience. This role involves working closely with software, acoustics, DSP, systems, and platform teams to ensure smooth product development from concept to production.
What You Will Do
- Analyze PRDs and translate requirements into optimized hardware solutions, Lead the hardware design include Architecture/Block diagram/Schematic/Layout /prototype debugging and verification. etc.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost rationalization to ensure smooth project progression.
- Resolve complex technical challenges using advanced analysis and creative solutions.
- Partner with System/Platform teams to evaluate new features and explore NTI/platform technologies.
- Ensure ODM/OEM deliverables meet Harman quality, documentation, and design standards.
- Align technical optimization with business needs and build consensus via clear communication.
- Collaborate closely with the software team on solution selection, technical alignment, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth project execution.
- Summarize project outcomes and issues, creating documentation and training for future reference.
- Train and coach junior engineers to develop technical competence.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering or related fields.
- 7+ years in consumer audio electronics (speakers/headphones), with proven experience in independent hardware design and mass production.
- Expertise in designing scalable, high-performance, low-latency, and cost-effective systems.
- Deep knowledge of audio architectures including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, DSP, MCU, wireless audio transmission, and power management.
- Proficient in schematic/PCB tools (Altium/PADS); experienced in optimizing designs for stability, thermal, EMC, and ESD.
- Possess strong hardware-software co-design capabilities, enabling seamless communication with software engineers on architecture to effectively drive cross-functional technical problem-solving.
- Strong background in EMC/ESD debugging, RF troubleshooting, and audio compliance standards.
- Capable of conducting innovative research on audio circuits, Ultra-low power consumption, and EMC.
- Able to mentor junior engineers and drive projects through effective cross-team communication.
- Language: Fluent English for technical documentation and conference calls.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Good experience in audio hardware-related RF design and innovation, such as antenna design and evaluation, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi RF design and evaluation.
- Experience in firmware development and the ability to understand software architecture.
