Applications are invited for the above vacancy at the Black Point Power Station (BPPS) under Generation Business Group. As BPPS continues to drive operational excellence, digitalisation, and AI-enabled improvements, there is a growing need to enhance operational efficiency, data utilisation, and workflow automation within station operations and maintenance (O&M). The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of practical digital solutions for plant operation, maintenance optimisation, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support digitalisation and AI initiatives at BPPS, focusing on improving station operations, maintenance efficiency, and safety management.
- Design, develop, test and implement automation solutions (e.g. Power Automate, Power Apps, RPA tools) for station workflows, reporting and data handling.
- Analyse station operational data (e.g. logs, equipment records, inspection data) to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with operations teams, maintenance teams, and engineers to understand operational pain points and translate them into digital solutions.
- Support development of AI-assisted tools for:
- Station log checking and standardisation
- Event / defect tracking and analysis
- Predictive maintenance and anomaly detection
- Provide on-site support, including troubleshooting, optimisation, and continuous improvement of deployed solutions.
- Coordinate with IT and corporate digital teams for system integration, cybersecurity compliance, and platform deployment.
- Ensure solutions are practical, user-friendly, and aligned with actual operational needs at BPPS.
- Support training and adoption of new tools among shift and day teams.
Requirements:
- A recognized university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information System or related discipline plus at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Familiarity with coding, RPA and database management.
- Experience in data analytics and visualisation, as well as application of AI tools.
- Past experience in IT or software project management preferred.
- Experience with process analysis, design and implementation; business and technical requirement documentation; system testing, including UAT and bug fixes.
- Knowledge and experience on ERP system, i.e. SAP and Oracle, is preferred.
- Attention to details and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic, demonstrated capability in applying state-of-the-art technology to scale and improve customer experience.
- Fast learner and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Skills Required
