The Opportunity:

As a member of the AI Engineering Team, you will play a key role in building and optimizing our platform to deliver AI-driven tools that align with Gloo’s mission of championing personal and spiritual growth. 

You will contribute to feature development across multiple applications, enhancing security, optimizing our full-stack architecture, and implementing solutions that enable Gloo’s strategic vision for AI-enabled growth and human flourishing.

You will work closely with teams to ensure our platform is robust and scalable, supporting strategic initiatives such as next-generation AI tools, trusted data infrastructures, and enhanced developer experiences. Additionally, you’ll support integrating advanced AI models and ensuring our applications serve a broad range of users, from faith organizations to individuals seeking personal growth and rooted in trust. This is a hybrid position working out of the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania area.

Our Engineering Team is passionate about ensuring that our software is of the highest quality and delivers exceptional value to our customers. As we scale our AI-driven solutions, you’ll work with a dynamic team committed to learning, innovation, and excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing end-to-end solutions that include database, API design, and testing, as well as implementing UI/UX using NextJS, React, and other Javascript Libraries..
• Working on scalable and secure cloud architectures that support Gloo’s AI and data initiatives, including trusted data handling and AI-driven content solutions.
• Enhancing our web applications’ performance and security to ensure stability and resilency–no matter the throughput.
• Collaborating closely with the product and AI engineer team to deliver solutions that align with Gloo’s strategic goals in AI development and platform expansion.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development pipeline, ensuring efficient deployments and high-quality releases.
• Supporting the integration of advanced data and AI services to help organizations and individuals grow in their faith and personal development.
• Optimizing our design and performance while using modern tech stacks that align with Gloo’s strategic focus on innovation.
• Mentoring teammates and contributing to knowledge-sharing and team growth as we scale our platform and AI tools.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

• A passion for serving fellow team members and customers through thoughtful, effective, and robust software solutions.
• At least 1-2 years of experience working on web applications within collaborative teams.
• Autonomous and self-driven leadership in a collaborative environment that requires proactive solutions.
• A growth mindset to learn and deliver functional features in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Expertise in React, Next.js or equivalent front-end framework.

• Expertise in Python as a backend service to power APIs and AI workflows.
• BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience with building and maintaining automated test suites for web applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized deployment environments, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience delivering work via a continuous improvement and delivery methodology.
• Familiarity with Kanban software development methodologies.
• Exposure and understanding implementing AI technologies. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively translating technical solutions. 

Benefits

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000
