Salary: $75,000 - $95,000
- Open, immediate position
- Plan, co-ordinate, lead, and participate in various multi-disciplined teams in addressing and fulfilling various corporate objectives, associated with the manufacturing process, productivity, volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitments.
- Champion regular PFMEA walks with CFT and take RPN Reduction Initiatives
- Take bottleneck reduction initiatives by analyzing processes at steady state and determine areas of improvement in terms of cycle time reduction.
- Responsible for accurate completion of Equipment Validation Checklist and closure of all tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain current with the overall field of Manufacturing Engineering, new technology, and processes, attending training courses as needed.
- In liaison with the Program Manager, Sales Coordinator, Product Engineer, and Purchasing complete all RFQ’s on a timely basis while meeting the customer’s requirements.
- Define specification and the statement of work, procurement of various quotations for approval.
- Develop, maintain, and execute the implementation plan for new equipment.
- Champion continuous improvement programs.
- Develop and maintain documentation for:
- PFMEA
- PFC
- Job Element Sheets (JES)
- Rework
- Change-over procedure and instructions
- Manufacturing Engineering Open Issues
- New program monitoring requirements, as defined by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager
- Equipment capacity
- Operator issues related to Ergonomics and Safety
- Process Change Requests
- Purchase Order Request
- Parameter Sheets (Welding and Process)
- Equipment Validation Checklists
- Statement of Work (SOW)
- Equipment Validation Checklists
- PDP Deliverables
- Source and develop outside vendors and resources that are capable in performing work to Cam-Slide specifications.
- Take a leadership role in the development and implementation of 8D’s corrective actions (C.A.R.’s).
- Assist with execution of internal PPAP projects.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with pertinent health and safety legislation, practices, and procedures.
- Assist with prototype builds and budgets to meet program timetables.
- Plan and lead the launch of new programs, new equipment, and retrofits.
- Works directly with machine integrators and manage timelines and progress reports
- Responsible for equipment being provided by O.E.M, to adhere to Cam-Slide equipment specifications.
- Adhering to all the ISO/IATF 16949 policies and procedures.
- The Manufacturing Engineer also possesses a reporting relationship in the form of direct liaison with Sales Coordinator, Product Engineer, Manufacturing, Production Design and Quality Assurance to fulfill the various objectives of the organization.
- Must comply with all ISO 14001 (Environmental) ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) systems and standards as it pertains to their work
Abide by all AODA and C-TPAT, and TISAX procedures that apply to their position
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree/ Diploma in either Mechanical, Manufacturing, or extensive experience in Tool and Die and/or millwrighting.
- Minimum 3 years industrial experience in a manufacturing facility as a manufacturing/mechanical/Industrial engineer.
- Tool and Die making, stamping, welding, metal fabrication experience is an asset.
- Computer skills in Auto Cad, Solid Works, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project is an asset.
- Knowledge of GD&T is an asset.
- Knowledge and understanding of labor efficiency is an asset.
