Your role at BaxterServing as an Opex Engineer I, the role requires supporting and performing tactical planning processes to optimize the capacity of the Manufacturing Plant, in addition to handling projects that increase resource efficiency and improve flows (plant area, personnel, production standards, equipment, material movement, production efficiency, and similar factors). Measure, evaluate, and improve line capacity. It supports the execution and improvement of facility-wide efficiency management systems, as well as optimization and automation of the systems.
What you will be doingThe individual will perform other duties as assigned. All positions must align with: Promote compliance with quality requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Promote and participate in ICare's initiatives: if you see something, do something. Respond to and resolve in a timely manner the problems that may affect the quality, safety or effectiveness of the product or the regulatory consistency of the process. Continuously seek regulatory perfection in your process. Comply with and ensure that EHS rules and procedures are followed by the people in their charge, as well as provide the vital spaces related to training in EHS issues. At the same time, promote the culture of safety, and ensure compliance with all the guidelines that the organization settles vital to follow the applicable legal and/or corporate requirements of its area focused on protecting safety, its own health and that of its personnel in charge, and the environment.
Measure, analyze, and improve plant production standards. Support the design and implementation of capacity models that facilitate the recording and analysis of information Implement improvement projects to optimize efficiency. For example, improve production floor areas, remove tasks that do not supply customer value, and grow line capacity. Promote and implement projects where material flows are improved, product reduction in process and scrap are reduced Assist in the implementation of projects aligned with the plant's capacity and resource strategy for the short and medium term. Support and generate reports for some operational excellence systems, such as ideas, Gemba, 6S, etc. Support the rollout of projects aimed at reducing costs, improving safety, quality and delivery Proactively perform root cause analysis, develop solutions and methods for optimizing process flows. Promote the use of Industrial Engineering methods, tools and models that seek a structural way to achieve improvements Support the activities and trainings of the Operational Excellence team
What will you bring?
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Administration or related careers
- Must have 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing areas
- Must be proactive, self-initiated, and energetic
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to challenge the status quo and think in an unexpected way
- Good analytical skills
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools, Lean or Six Sigma certification
- Knowledge of data management systems (Power apps, power bi, timer pro, Minitab)
- Bilingual
