A Brief Overview
The Energy Services Representative plays a crucial role in a developing initiative aimed at providing value to
cooperative members through various energy services programs. This role is essential for delivering outstanding
member service across multiple communication channels. The representative must address requests and
complaints quickly, courteously, and clearly, ensuring effective support for energy services.
What you will do
• Deliver professional and positive service to members by assisting with their inquiries in person, over the
phone, and via email regarding energy efficiency, alternative energy sources, electric vehicles, and other
LREMC service programs.
• Enhance the member experience by providing education and support on energy usage, efficiency,
renewable resources, battery storage, electric vehicles, and distributed energy resources and programs.
• Serve as a contact for residential energy efficiency information concerning HVAC systems, lighting,
appliances, and more.
• Support and engage with members on high energy usage, program enrollment and adoption, distributed
energy resources, and other LREMC offerings.
• Address and resolve member concerns related to unusual energy usage.
• Assist in identifying and exploring options to reduce and manage energy consumption.
• Collaborate with the Energy Services Department in designing and implementing new programs and
offerings.
• Help members navigate the renewable energy interconnection process.
• Contribute to special projects, workshops, events, and miscellaneous duties aligned with corporate and
departmental objectives.
• Assist the Energy Services Specialist on energy assessments and audits.
• Participate in community events that benefit members and promote positive relations related to energy
efficiency, renewable energy, electrification, and other distributed energy resources.
• Be knowledgeable and comfortable discussing a range of energy topics.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent Required or
• Associate's degree Business, engineering, or related field Preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential
duties of the job
• 1-3 years' Experience in the electric utility industry Required
• Must have the aptitude to logically and objectively evaluate obstructions and impediments to plans and
programs, make rational independent decisions, and develop reasonable solutions to problems
• Must possess the ability to clearly and concisely communicate in exchanging information with position’s
supervisor, employees, members, and the general public in the Cooperative service area
• Must possess the ability to operate office equipment to perform data input, computer operations, manual
typing, and related activities.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
• Must have strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Valid Driver's License Upon Hire Required
