As an Energy Risk Management Specialist I, you will help monitor, analyze, and report on energy market risk tied to power marketing, trading activities, and commodity transactions. You will gain hands-on experience with energy markets, financial risk analysis, and compliance while supporting real-time decision-making that impacts power generation and pricing.

What You’ll Do

  • Support tracking and validation of energy transactions across power, natural gas, and other commodities
  • Assist with monitoring portfolio risk, including credit exposure and market risk positions
  • Help prepare monthly risk reports for Finance, Audit, and Risk discussions
  • Participate in settlement processes for energy markets, including RTO transactions
  • Collaborate with Power Marketing and Finance teams to ensure accurate data and reporting
  • Contribute to maintaining risk systems, policies, and compliance documentation

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Foundational knowledge of Excel and data analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Interest in energy markets, quantitative analysis, or regulatory compliance
