ENERGY MARKET & PROCUREMENT EXPERT

to join the BeNe Procurement team at our headquarters located in Braine-l’Alleud

Shape the Future of Energy Markets and Procurement in Heavy Industry

Are you passionate about energy markets, regulation, procurement and the energy transition?

At Heidelberg Materials, we're looking for an Energy Market & Procurement Expert to join the Procurement team and shape our commercial energy framework in the Benelux. You will own sourcing, supplier and contract management, market and regulatory analysis, and the commercial assessment of energy initiatives.

Working with local teams and Group Energy Procurement, you will enable competitive supply contracts, PPAs, renewable sourcing, batteries and flexibility solutions. Your contribution will focus on market, procurement and commercial value creation, in close partnership with the technical and operational teams responsible for feasibility, engineering and implementation.

Your Impact:
  • You drive the BENE energy-market and procurement strategy, including sourcing, tenders, suppliers, contracts, hedging frameworks, cost forecasts and risk management.

  • You lead commercial assessment, supplier or developer selection, negotiation and contracting for supply agreements, PPAs, renewable sourcing, flexibility solutions, and battery storage. Define and secure the commercial and contractual framework while partnering with the technical and operational teams responsible for technical feasibility, project execution and operational deployment.

  • You monitor Belgian and Dutch energy-market and regulatory developments, represent Heidelberg Materials in relevant forums, and convert change into procurement strategies and commercial opportunities. Act as the Procurement interface to sites and Group Energy Procurement for supplier, contractual and market matters.

What You Bring:
  • Proven experience in energy procurement, energy markets, regulation, renewable-energy contracting or a related field, with the ability to turn complex challenges into strategic business opportunities.

  • A university degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Energy Management or a related field, combined with strong analytical thinking, digital and AI skills, and a pragmatic, results-driven mindset.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, countries, and management levels.

  • C1 Level in French and B2 in English (Dutch is a strong asset).
