Job Opportunity: Energy & Infrastructure Associate – Washington, DC

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Energy & Infrastructure Associate to join its Transactions and Development practice group in Washington, DC. This full-time, partnership-track position offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work on impactful energy and infrastructure projects across Latin America and the Caribbean.

About the Role

As an associate, you will:

  • Handle corporate, project, and structured finance transactions with a focus on energy and infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.

  • Represent development finance institutions and private sector clients in high-profile deals.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop innovative legal solutions for energy transition challenges.

  • Work independently or as part of a team to manage complex transactions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5–6 years of bank finance experience (class of 2018–2019), with expertise in corporate, project, or structured finance.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (proficiency in Portuguese is a plus).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership potential, and sound judgment.

  • Active DC Bar membership or eligibility to obtain membership within one year of employment.
