The Energy Efficiency Program Support’s primary responsibility is to provide direct administrative, analytical, and implementation support to utility and Building Performance Standards (BPS) program clients and program teams. Placements will support a variety of program activities which will include attending staff and client facing meetings, drafting and collecting program documents following up on construction schedules. and supporting building owners/facility managers in complying with benchmarking and BPS policies across multiple jurisdictions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend assigned team meetings and collaborate with Building Performance Consultants and Program Managers on program documentation and deliverables.
  • Support internal and external stakeholder reporting. 
  • Support a portfolio of projects at different stages of design, construction, and compliance.
  • Team with Building Performance Consultants and others to develop efficient internal reference materials.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Three years’ related experience working in building science, construction management, architecture, or environmental science desired.
  • Strong interest and desire to work within the sustainability and energy industry.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and sense of ownership.
  • Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently learn, synthesize and apply new information. 
  • Ability to multi-task and pivot as needed to address priority items that may arise.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and data management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams as well as work independently on team deliverables.
  • Familiarity and competencies with Microsoft business solutions used to develop reference materials and consulting deliverables: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct directed research and summarize findings.
  • Ability to clearly explain processes to building owners and project teams.
  • Experience using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager (ESPM); familiarity with other benchmarking or reporting platforms.
  • Familiarity with Benchmarking and Building Performance Standards, energy disclosure regulations, and performance-based compliance frameworks.
