Job Summary: As an Energy Auditing Intern, you will play a crucial role in optimizing energy-related facilities to help our clients build a net-zero pathway. You will gain hands-on experience in energy, HVAC systems, design, calculation, and analysis, while developing your skills and challenging limitations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing, calculating, and generating reports, including evaluating system loads, sizing ductwork/pipework, and confirming the performance of chosen equipment via energy modeling.
- Study design solutions to meet all technical requirements mandated by local and international standards, ensuring they are suitable and feasible within the project's budget.
- Participate in the energy audit team to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the team leader to implement and evolve data systems, libraries, spreadsheets, and specialized regulations, forming a strong foundation for supporting customer design work.
- Propose design solutions, select equipment and products, and submit them to the team leader for review and validation.
- Liaise with the business development team to coordinate seminars on essential business topics.
- Report monthly/quarterly/yearly action plan progress to the team leader.
- Create a list of potential customers for ongoing follow-up with the Business Development team.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably requested by your manager.
- Senior Students from Mechanical Engineering major or a related field. Prior coursework in centralized HVAC systems and energy sectors is advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical principles.
- Technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn and integrate new concepts and tools
- Strong judgment and critical thinking to challenge assumptions and solve problems
- A proactive personality with a strong work ethic. Open-mindedness and the capacity to work in a global setting.
