Endpoint Engineer – EUC & OS Migration

Rate: $95–$105/hr W2
Duration:

Fully remote (EST hours required)

Our client is seeking an experienced Endpoint Infrastructure Consultant to support a short-term engagement focused on enterprise endpoint environment assessment, troubleshooting, and operating system migration activities within a large-scale EUC environment.

This role will work closely with engineering stakeholders to support a mix of environment review, issue remediation, and migration planning/execution activities across a modern endpoint management ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical assessment of the current endpoint management environment, including device configurations, policies, and management infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint-related issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams
  • Support configuration review, validation, and remediation activities across managed devices
  • Assist with planning and execution of an endpoint OS migration initiative (including sequencing, readiness, and deployment support)
  • Participate in technical working sessions to review findings, propose recommendations, and support implementation activities
  • Support operational stability during migration activities, including identifying and resolving cross-system dependencies
  • Provide hands-on engineering support across endpoint tools, management platforms, and connected infrastructure as needed

Desired Experience

  • Strong background in Endpoint Engineering, EUC, or Desktop Engineering environments
  • Experience with enterprise endpoint management platforms (e.g., IGEL, VMware Horizon, Citrix, Intune, SCCM, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience supporting OS migrations or endpoint modernization initiatives
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoint, connectivity, and policy/configuration layers
  • Familiarity with virtual desktop or thin client environments is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders

Engagement Details

  • Duration: 8-week consulting engagement
  • Location: Fully remote
  • Time Zone: Preferred EST hours; however, must be flexible and able to collaborate with global teams, including India-based resources, as needed outside standard EST hours
