Advanced Practice Provider – Endocrinology
Location: Select Specialty Hospital 7450 Sand Lake Commons, Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819
Schedule: PRN OR Block 7 days on / 7 days off
Job Summary
Spectrum Medical Partners is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with a strong background in endocrinology to join our collaborative clinical team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and managing both acute and chronic endocrine conditions. Needs to have Endocrinology experience, as you will be working autonomously.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examine patients and obtain comprehensive medical histories
- Adhere to established documentation and charting protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as clinically indicated
- Submit individualized healthcare plans and patient goals for periodic physician review
- Analyze test results, diagnose conditions, and communicate findings to patients
- Prescribe and administer treatments and medications in accordance with licensure and protocols
- Promote preventive care through patient education on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Administer immunizations and vaccinations as required
- Refer patients to specialists to support optimal outcomes
- Report deaths and communicable diseases to appropriate governmental agencies as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
- Required endocrinology experience
- Current State of Florida license in good standing
- Florida DEA license (if applicable)
- Current national board certification
- Active BLS certification
