Job Summary
McKee Foods is seeking an End-User Systems Engineer to join our newly formed Digital Workplace Services team. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for our End-User Computing (EUC) environment, overseeing the core infrastructure that powers how our employees work.
Working alongside IT Helpdesk and other End-User Engineers, you will ensure a seamless, modern, and highly available digital workspace. You will collaborate with a core team to manage and modernize our Workspace ONE, IGEL, Active Directory, and Google Workspace platforms. This is a dynamic role that blends daily operational excellence with big-picture architecture and continuous improvement.
- Workspace Engineering: Collaborate on the administration, architecture, and maintenance of Workspace ONE (WS1) and IGEL OS infrastructure, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery of virtual desktops and applications.
- Endpoint & Image Management: Build, maintain, and continuously optimize standard endpoint images for both physical and virtual devices. Manage device provisioning, patching, and the overall lifecycle of enterprise hardware and thin clients.
- Project & Initiative Delivery: Participate in platform upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives using a hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodology, balancing structured enterprise planning with iterative execution.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & Escalation: Act as an escalation point for the IT Helpdesk for applicable incident tickets. Partner closely with Infrastructure and Security teams to deliver a unified, frictionless digital experience for all employees.
- Application Delivery & Automation: Package, deploy, and maintain applications across WS1 and virtualized platforms. Leverage scripting (PowerShell) to automate routine manual tasks, deployments, and remediation workflows.
- Performance & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system health, login times, and resource utilization. Resolve complex performance, access, and stability issues impacting the end-user environment.
- Security & Compliance: Apply strict endpoint security standards—including OS patching, device hardening, and access controls—in alignment with Security team policies.
- Identity & Access Integration: Support authentication and secure access for workspace platforms by co-managing Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and Okta integrations.
