Title: Employment Counsel Senior Paralegal
Location: San Jose, CA
Base Salary Range: $125,000- $160,000

We are looking for an experienced Senior Paralegal to support the Global Employment Counsel team! In partnership with the Employment Legal team, this role will be responsible for factual case investigation and development, organization and support of Employment Legal tools and templates, claims/litigation support for employment litigation matters, among other responsibilities. This role will be focused on support, strategy building, investigating, organizing, and partnering with external counsel, the global head of employment law and the global head of litigation with respect to the suite of pending employment litigation matters in the US.
The right candidate is passionate about employment law - a well-organized, creative and smart problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes unstructured environment with broad responsibility. We are looking for someone to bring legal smarts, analytic rigor, business sense, a strong work ethic, and collegiality. This role will help solve challenging legal issues and shape responsive business strategies, working proactively and with people in teams throughout the organization, including partners in the People, Sales, Corporate Development, Finance, Tax and Stock Administration teams.
What You’ll Do

Focus on support, organization, strategy, direction/collaboration with external counsel with respect to multi-million dollar suite of employment litigation - including managing and strategizing ongoing ESI efforts, preparing for deposition and trial, investigation of claims, etc.

Support ongoing investigations, claims, demand letters, litigation by conducting preliminary analysis and review of relevant resources including documents in google suite, Slack, and use of Vault tool

Draft initial responses to claims, including demand letters, repayment requests, and other correspondence

Develop and maintain case management system and metrics tracking for Employment Legal team

Provide administrative support for data compilations and team presentations

Work with external counsel and Legal Leads to help manage engagement/billing review + budgeting

Project manage initiatives driven by the Employment Legal team
Who You Are

You have 6+ years of relevant experience particularly in managing complex employment litigation

You have strong management and leadership skills, excellent business judgment and are extremely detail-oriented - you know how to cat-herd

You have excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and time constraints

You have exceptional communication and writing skills

You are able to collaborate with global, multicultural, cross-functional teams of stakeholders

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing and managing employment law and litigation related processes, including with respect to employment law related claims
