Please note that we are NOT currently offering sponsorship for this position and all applicants must be currently based in the Chicago-land area or willing to relocate. This position is “in-office” for at least 90 days and then eligible for a hybrid schedule based on performance milestones.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and promoting a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
Identify trends and proactively address potential areas of concern to promote a positive work environment and improve employee morale.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of employee relations activities.
Fielding technical questions from Employees surrounding Medtelligent Benefit vendors such as: United HealthCare, MetLife, Delta Dental, Short Term/ Long Term Disability coverage, COBRA, transit benefits, and more
Collaborate/define/refine workplace policies (PTO, Maternity/Paternity leave, Distributed employees, Bereavement, Performance management, Workplace safety, Risk management etc.)
Creating and Updating scalable HR policies and procedures regularly to reflect current employment laws
Qualifications
Requirements:
2+ years experience with Rippling HR Software (we are migrating to Rippling in 2024)
2+ years experience with facilitating and driving organizational change management
Tech-savvy with a natural inclination towards leveraging technology to enhance HR processes and drive innovative solutions
The utmost commitment to confidentiality and integrity
Experience developing, supporting, and maintaining Employee Relations program and policies
Experience conducting exit interviews and offboarding employees and contractors
Experience managing company administrative benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision and transit programs)
Experience collaborating with leadership to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Extras:
Candidates with HR certificates/degree(s) or similar school of thought will be prioritized
Experience with HR system migrations and system implementation
Experience working within a SaaS environment
Knowledge of Business Forecasting
