Position Summary:
The Employee Relations Coordinator supports the Human Resources department by assisting with the development, coordination, and implementation of employee relations programs, policies, and practices. This role helps promote a positive and productive work environment through consistent communication, fair policy enforcement, and proactive problem resolution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations inquiries, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and confidentially.
- Support investigations of employee complaints, concerns, and allegations in alignment with company policies and employment laws.
- Assist in drafting documentation such as warning letters, performance improvement plans, and investigation summaries.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations files, logs, and reports.
- Partner with HR leadership to support conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Help ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across departments.
- Conduct or assist in employee exit interviews and report trends or recurring issues.
- Support training initiatives focused on workplace culture, employee engagement, and policy compliance.
- Collaborate with HR, management, and leadership teams to recommend improvements that strengthen employee satisfaction and retention.
- Stay informed on employment laws, trends, and best practices related to employee relations and compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably with exposure to employee relations or compliance.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and confidentiality standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Primarily office-based with occasional meetings or training sessions.
- May require occasional travel between locations.
