ABOUT THE ROLE:
As part of the HR team at Skechers, the Internal Engagement & Communications Specialist will play a key role in shaping the employee experience by creating communications and campaigns that connect employees to our culture, learning opportunities, and engagement initiatives. This role will partner closely with the Learning & Engagement Technology Manager to support projects such as LMS campaigns, global engagement programs, onboarding communications, and recognition initiatives. The position will focus on bringing clarity, creativity, and consistency to HR messaging while leveraging learning and engagement technologies to ensure employees have access to the right tools, resources, and information at the right time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own the end-to-end delivery of HR communications and engagement initiatives, ensuring campaigns are executed with speed, efficiency, and measurable impact.
- Create compelling digital content (intranet articles, newsletters, emails, graphics, videos) that strengthens employee connection to Skechers’ culture, values, and global people strategy.
- Manage and optimize communication calendars, aligning messaging with critical HR priorities such as onboarding, recognition, performance, and leadership development.
- Partner with the Learning & Engagement Technology Manager to drive adoption of LMS and engagement platforms, linking usage to productivity and talent outcomes.
- Streamline and standardize communication processes to reduce redundancy, improve consistency, and maximize ROI across all channels.
- Track, analyze, and report engagement metrics, using data-driven insights to continuously improve effectiveness and demonstrate business value.
- Operate with a hands-on ownership mindset—equally skilled at drafting content, designing assets, and presenting outcomes to leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in internal communications or employee engagement.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools.
- Demonstrated ability to create impactful digital content (newsletters, intranet, graphics, videos, emails) that drives measurable engagement.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of delivering results under tight deadlines.
- Experience in measuring multi-regional communication and engagement effectiveness using analytics or survey tools.
The pay range for this position is $75,000-$88,000/yr USD.
