The France Payroll Supervisor position is a leadership opportunity focused on supporting management and elevating our payroll processing for France. The position will also play a key role in supporting the end-to-end French payroll process outsourced to our 3rd party vendor to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. The France Payroll Supervisor will be a part of the Global Finance Shared Services organization.


How You’ll make an impact: 

  • Participate in ongoing internal process improvements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of the Company’s payroll in France:

a) Payroll issues are escalated and resolved with root cause analysis and corrective action for all levels of employees and management, with a focus on ensuring a positive and seamless employee experience in partnership with HR Shared Services. Responsible for day-to-day oversight of issues and positive seamlessness

b) Oversee the timely preparation, processing, maintenance and appropriate distribution of payroll information, payroll reports, all tax year end reports, payroll manuals and related payroll working instructions

c) Establish partnerships with third party vendors to ensure effective service delivery

d) Be a back up for the payroll team

  • Ensure payroll services are processed in accordance with established global policies and procedures along with all legislative compliance requirements (including tax and labor laws)

a) Directs and audits payroll procedures to include earnings, garnishments, tax withholding, and absence processing and ensure compliance with organizational procedures

b) Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Benefits teams to identify, resolve, and avoid payroll compliance issues

  • Identify and drive continuous performance improvement projects to improve payroll accuracy, compliance, productivity and / or employee satisfaction for France

a) Ensure end-to-end processes are well-thought through to address customer and regulatory requirements

b) Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and SLA metrics for department

  • Support payroll manager with team’s development to optimize operational excellence and create a deeper bench of experienced talent
  • Manage projects across multi-disciplinary functions of Payroll within allotted timeframes and budgets
  • Maintains confidentiality of any payroll, private employee information and any proprietary information and ensures payroll information is secure

What You’ll bring:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Additional degrees/certifications such as: MBA, Six Sigma, etc. enhance candidacy
  • 7 -10 years of relevant experience in payroll in a diverse, complex global enterprise, 2-3 years of experience in managing a small
  • team (1-3 direct reports)
  • Experience in managing third-party payroll services providers
  • Experience working in systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, ADP Global View, ADP GTA (Zadig) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in payroll system implementation – data validation and data analysis, implementation of Payroll Internal Controls and
  • Procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with stock, travel and time and attendance programs
  • Working knowledge of French payroll legislation and statutory declarations (URSSAF, DSN, prélèvement à la source, Agirc-Arrco,
  • CSE) and French labor law
  • Proactive, motivated, results oriented individual capable of partnering with diverse perspectives and backgrounds to negotiate
  • positive outcomes that impact the work of internal, external and cross-functional partners

Skills Required

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7-10 years of relevant payroll experience in a diverse, complex global enterprise
