Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated EMEA Data Product Manager to lead our Commercial Data Products in key domains such as Retail Execution, Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Promotion Management, and Salesforce Effectiveness. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the data product roadmap, gathering requirements from business stakeholders, and translating those needs into technical specifications for our data engineering, visualization and AI teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain the product roadmap for Commercial Data Products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals. Prioritize new feature development based on stakeholder feedback and market trends.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and operations to gather requirements and insights. Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
- Requirements Gathering: Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit detailed business requirements, translating them into clear and actionable technical specifications for data engineers and visualization experts.
- Value Generation: Maintain a laser focus on delivering value to the business through data products. Define success metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of product features on business outcomes.
- Technical Liaison: Work closely with data engineers and visualization experts to ensure the successful implementation of products. While hands-on development experience is not required, a solid understanding of the tech stack (Snowflake, Python, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt, PowerBI) is essential for effective communication.
- Innovative Solutions: Explore and integrate advanced analytics and AI capabilities (especially those utilizing Agentic AI) into data products to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Market Analysis: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data product management, particularly within the retail and eCommerce sectors, to inform product development and positioning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data products in commercial domains.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product roadmaps and feature development.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of retail execution, eCommerce, revenue growth management, trade promotion management, and salesforce effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and a strong focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI and its applications in data products is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
