In this role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organization:
- Global Business or Global Functional VP & Leadership Team (LT): Serve as their trusted HR partner, aligning talent strategies with business goals.
- GEO Business HR: Work closely with your GEO BHR counterparts to ensure regional strategies align with global initiatives.
- BHR Leadership Team: Act as a vital member of the leadership team.
- COEs: Partner with COEs as the designers of individual HR products and programs.
- People Solutions: Collaborate as a key enabler of services delivered to leaders and the primary delivery vehicle of services to teammates
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an experienced HR leader to serve as trusted, strategic advisor and thought leader to GEO business and Functional executives, providing counsel to enhance their growth and impact to advance NIKE’s vision, mission and objectives. You will collaborate closely with the business (GEO & Global), Global BHR, COEs, and People Solutions to integrate and implement HR People and Talent (pipeline) Strategies. Additionally, you will drive alignment across peer GEO BHRs to ensure consistent teammate experiences and enterprise outcomes. Our EMEA HRBP will anticipate business opportunities, partnering closely with business leadership and capturing Global insights to influence Business, People, and Talent strategies. This position operates at a unique intersection of strategy, organization, and talent, providing the nuanced HR leadership and consultation required to elevate support to the business and the teammate experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Business & Financial Acumen: Ability to understand business context, goals, financials, trends and intersections with team and talent objectives.
- OD/OE: Diagnostics, planning, execution & transition/change mgmt.
- Talent Management: Proficiency in talent attraction, assessment of leadership potential, talent engagement, performance mgmt., and dev.
- DEI: Lead a Culture of Belonging mandate to optimize organization engagement
- Trusted Advisor & Coach: Provide honest counsel & advice to senior leader(s), act with courage, coach leadership teams to high-performance.
- Diverse Experiences: Across Nike's value chain and businesses with Global and GEO experiences, across different business contexts.
- Influence & Matrix Management: Effectively perform in an influence-based role and build commitment across the matrix at the executive level.
- EMEA Labor Relations: Understanding of the complexities and nuances of the EMEA labor relations landscape ensuring compliance and employee experience.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- People Strategy: you will adopt and localize the Global Function’s People Strategy and Annual Plan - in partnership with Global Function BHR, Global Function & GEO Business leadership - to best serve the GEO Business Strategy, accounting for Global Business Strategies and GEO Business Plans. Bring it all to life by painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy to motivate teammates to action. Regularly measure, assess progress, and adjust planning to drive intended outcomes. Serve insights back to global for greater global integration.
- Organization Design/Organization Effectiveness: With deep understanding of business opportunities, continuously assess organizational design and operating models to evolve and deliver business strategies and capabilities. Evaluate Global/GEO org effectiveness, identify opportunities, and develop OD/OE strategy and action plan in partnership with Global Functional leadership, GEO leadership, and Global Function BHR. Lead OD/OE efforts as part of organization hygiene or in service of larger Transformational initiatives. Pro-actively drive labor-relations engagement where necessary.
- Talent: Implement the Global Functional strategic workforce plan within the GEO in partnership with Global/GEO Business and Global Function BHR. Share insights to Global Function BHR to determine functional and leadership capabilities needed for the future to develop strategies and to shape talent solutions to address talent gaps. Ensure talent strategies are adopted and fit unique GEO needs. Participate in regular cadence of organization, team and talent functional forums to influence the People and Talent strategies to serve the GEO. Collaborate with Global Functional BHR on talent planning, movement, and succession planning. In partnership with GEO business leader, drive accountability and ownership for knowing talent, managing performance, and providing development.
- Leadership Team Effectiveness & Executive Coaching: Coach business executives and executive teams to support their development, optimize ways of working, and build team effectiveness. Partner with Global Functional leader(s) to gather insights, identify leadership team effectiveness opportunities, create plans and monitor progress.
- Culture of Belonging: Own and partner with functional leaders to build a distinctive and uniquely-Nike culture, integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion so Nike continues to be a workplace where our teammates feel they belong. Using feedback and insights to develop strategies and action plans to drive engagement and belonging.
- Labor Relations Partnership/Leadership: Effectively navigate the complexities and nuances of the EMEA labor relations landscape ensuring compliance and employee experience.
