About the job
Delart is home to a team of world-class engineers and project leaders dedicated to developing the next generation of advanced networking technologies, consumer devices, and innovative technology solutions. Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. Since our founding in 2017, we have been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge networking, telecommunications, and consumer products, while driving end-to-end project execution and creating transformative technology applications.
Drive the electromagnetic compatibility of cutting-edge wearable technology as an EMC Design Engineer, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions from early prototypes to high-volume consumer production. Tackle critical system-level EMC and ESD challenges to ensure regulatory compliance, enhance product reliability, and advance the integration of complex electronics in next-generation wearables.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and optimization of grounding and shielding architectures for wearable systems, balancing stringent product constraints with global EMC regulatory requirements.
- Develop, update, and enforce EMC/ESD design specifications, guidelines, and risk management processes in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Integrate and optimize diverse components—including sensors, wireless charging systems, and advanced PCBs—within complex system architectures for peak electromagnetic performance.
- Design, implement, and analyze ESD protection strategies, including component selection and circuit-level solutions, for high-volume consumer electronics.
- Plan and execute end-to-end system-level EMC and ESD compliance testing, troubleshooting failures per international standards such as IEC 61000-4-2.
- Define and conduct comprehensive EMC validation plans, leveraging electromagnetic simulation tools and correlating results with laboratory measurements.
- Analyze laboratory and field data to diagnose root causes of EMC/ESD issues, driving corrective actions via design and process improvements.
- Manage multiple engineering projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders, technicians, and external manufacturing partners for timely execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of applied experience in EMC design, measurement, and debugging for complex electronic systems.
- Advanced knowledge of system-level ESD protection principles, failure mechanisms, and the use of ESD test equipment (including ESD guns).
- In-depth understanding of electromagnetic theory, especially grounding and shielding applications in consumer electronic devices.
- Experience with PCB and flexible circuit design and manufacturing processes for wearable or mobile products.
- Understanding of power integrity, EMI suppression, and RF desensitization within multi-component architectures.
- Proven track record supporting product development lifecycles from concept through prototyping, regulatory testing, and mass production.
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of advanced EMC design and testing experience in the consumer or wearable electronics sector.
- Expertise in EM diagnostic instrumentation, including near field scanners, spectrum/network analyzers, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in magnetic shielding strategies and the management of noise and vibration in sophisticated electronic systems.
