ETC is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to work in the Entertainment Controls Team. This role focuses on embedded real-time software development using C and C++, Qt test software applications, new hardware bring-up and supporting feature development.
The ideal candidate is self-directed, comfortable working in established code bases, and able to collaborate clearly with technical and project stakeholders.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Write and review embedded code in C and C++ on 32-bit ARM processors
• Real-time development using FreeRTOS
• Bring-up and troubleshoot new embedded hardware
• Create and maintain Windows Qt test applications
• Improve CI and build pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Troubleshoot defects and implement features in an established code base.
• Replace legacy implementations with maintainable modern equivalents
• Estimate work, communicate progress, and collaborate with the team.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Completes special projects and assignments in a positive and timely manner
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 0-3 years of job-related experience
• Professional experience developing embedded applications with C and C++
• Experience in multi-threaded, real-time application development.
• Experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar embedded real-time platforms
• Experience with embedded interfaces, including SPI, I2C, USB, parallel bus interfaces, and LCD displays.
• Experience working with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Ability to work independently in established code bases while communicating progress, risks, and dependencies. Windows Qt Framework experience.
• Experience with Wireshark or similar network analysis tools.
• Experience with CI pipelines, Jira, Git, and GitLab.
