Our team is working on state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies for healthcare, agriculture and industrial applications.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on engineer to help our team design, develop, and validate electronic hardware and firmware for innovative diagnostic devices. An ideal candidate is skilled at both prototyping and transforming a prototype into a professional device that is designed for manufacturing and mass production. As our team is very cross-disciplinary, it is important to collaborate with others of various expertise (bio-medical, mechanical, and software experts).
Responsibilities
• Develop firmware for prototypes and production level systems considering modularity, reliability, and functionality.
• Build on our team’s conceptual ideas to design electrical and hardware systems for both research and eventual commercialization
• Test hardware and firmware to assess the systems capabilities, safety and usability.
• Collaborate with engineering team to finalize, test and deploy product designs into the medical, food and beverage, and agriculture industries.
Minimum Qualifications
• MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas, 2+ years experience in industry
• Proficiency in embedded programming languages such as C/C++
• Good understanding of system design, hardware and software architecture, hardware and software integration
• Familiarity with popular microcontroller families (STM32, ESP32, etc.)
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) and wired communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, ethernet)
• Strong knowledge of circuit design, component selection and layout requirements
• Experience with PCB Design Software (Cadence, Altium or similar)
• Experience with circuit simulation software (LTSpice, PSpice, or similar)
• Hands-on electrical lab experience with a strong ability to debug and validate hardware and firmware (very comfortable with equipment i.e. oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, soldering equipment, etc.)
• Familiarity with the control of electromechanical systems and sensors (motors, heating and cooling, feedback systems, etc.)

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
