Embedded Firmware Engineer
Analog Devices, Inc. is looking for a Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Software and Security Group in Bangalore, Karnataka.

As a Embedded Engineer, the engineer will be responsible for design of and development of embedded software for systems, for the healthcare line of products and Apps. The applicant will work with a team of dedicated product development professionals to produce high quality software in a collaborative environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded software for ARM-based embedded systems using C/C++.
- Develop, and debug system-level functionalities and participate in code reviews.
- Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) tools to accelerate development—such as assisting in code generation, test case creation, documentation and debugging.
- Develop unit tests to ensure high reliability, early detection of defects, and robust validation of embedded software components.
- Create clear, comprehensive documentation for embedded code, ensuring maintainability and traceability.
- Follow version-control best practices and contribute to maintaining software development and release pipelines.
- Travel: As needed on occasion
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electronics or Communication or BioMedical Engineering
- 2-4 years embedded software/firmware development industry experience
- Hands-on experience in embedded systems hardware and software design, debugging, and application development in C/C++.
- Proficiency with embedded development environments such as IAR, VS Code. Keil, and/or GCC Embedded Toolchains.
- Demonstrable experience using RTOS platforms such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or similar.
- Practical work experience with ARM Cortex (M4/M33) architectures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python
- Version control systems: Github or BitBucket or Azure DevOps
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python is a strong plus.
- Exposure to the healthcare industry, including medical devices and applications

- Self-motivated and driven to continually improve
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
