The embedded Executive Protection Officer (EPO) serves as a dedicated security resource supporting senior executives and other designated personnel. Fully integrated within the client environment, the EPO identifies, assesses and mitigates risks to people, reputation and business operations through protective intelligence, executive protection and travel security.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and implement executive protection plans, travel risk assessments, security advances and proportionate mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate domestic and international executive travel security, including itinerary reviews, route planning, venue and accommodation assessments, secure transport and local support arrangements.
  • Accompany executives and provide discreet protective support during travel, meetings, events and other activities where required.
  • Maintain situational awareness of geopolitical, crime, civil unrest, health and other security developments that may affect supported personnel.
  • Support protective intelligence activities, including threat monitoring, risk assessments and executive threat profiling in concert with existing threat intelligence activities.
  • Gather and analyse information from internal and external sources to identify emerging threats, vulnerabilities and potential impacts on executives.
  • Liaise with client stakeholders, executive support teams, external vendors, local authorities and security providers to coordinate effective protective measures.
  • Support incident and crisis response involving executives, including emergency communications, evacuation planning and coordination of medical or security assistance.

Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Executive protection certification or other relevant security qualification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in executive protection, protective intelligence, diplomatic protection, law enforcement, military, intelligence or corporate security environments.
  • Strong threat assessment, situational awareness and risk management capabilities, with sound judgement under pressure.
  • Experience planning and supporting domestic and international executive travel, including security advances, route planning and local provider coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively, discreetly and independently in dynamic environments and during irregular hours.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • A valid driving licence and the ability to travel regularly at short notice, subject to the client scope and local regulations.

Skills Required
