Electrical Engineer 2 Salary Range: $77,000 - $136,000/ Yr.

The Electrical Engineer 2 is responsible for integrating, maintaining, testing, and evaluating electrical and electronic systems for our CNC control units under the supervision of a Department Manager. This role includes a wide range of responsibilities from designing cabling systems to sustaining production activities and evaluating alternate components and assemblies. Working on-site is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Design and implement cabling systems specific to electro-mechanical hardware based on best-practices.
• Write Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for Bill of Materials (BOM) modifications and/or creation.
• Oversee and manage configurations for CNC control systems.
• Sustain production activities as required.
• Evaluate alternate source components and assemblies to ensure requirements are met for existing designs, sustaining, and/or cost reduction
• Conduct testing and/or manage pilot runs for new components or assemblies.
• Propose and implement problem solutions through analysis, problem definition, and requirement generation.
• Create engineering documentation for solutions.
• Investigate and mitigate any failures in existing designs.
• Follow company protocols, escalate issues impacting workflow or quality as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks required; experience with SolidWorks Routing preferred.
- Working knowledge of Altium and or Mentor Graphics for schematic and PCB layout evaluation is preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with cross functional teams including manufacturing, purchasing, and quality.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve electrical issues independently.
- Working knowledge of NEC and or NFPA 79 standards preferred.
- Hands on experience using standard electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and current probes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience using Microsoft Teams is a plus.
- Experience working within an ERP system such as SAP or equivalent is a plus.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and engineering standards.
- Experience with electronics control cabinet design is a plus.
- Understanding of induction motors and AC servo motors is considered an asset.
- Travel requirement: 0 to 5 percent.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or in a closely related major from a four-year college or university and 2-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business, government and technical documents in English. Must have the capability to effectively respond to the most sensitive inquiries and/or complaints made by others. It is imperative to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial and/or complex topics to top management, and/or public groups.
Mathematical Skills
Must have an advanced understanding of mathematical concepts including but not limited to probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, and/or calculus.
