ACP is the leading material supplier for Semiconductor Advanced Packaging, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Industrial Plating industry. Our integrated solutions on metallization, photoresist and conductive adhesives equipped us to resolve customers’ challenges on miniaturization, product reliability and complicated circuit and packaging design. Job Description:

  • Develop next-generation electrolytic products, process & related technologies for printed circuit board (PCB), IC substate and Advanced packaging

  • Explore new ingredients through patent landscape analysis, fundamental understanding, experiment design, data analysis, and result interpretation

  • Establish new methodologies to tackle customers’ critical issues via understanding of customer needs

  • Work closely with customers to strengthen new product introduction and deliver cost-effective solutions in HVM (high volume manufacturing) conditions, e.g. bath-life extension and accessible component analysis methods

  • Assists in research efforts to improve existing products or create new applications

  • Support manufacturing technology development to speed up product commercialization

  • Lead process optimization and engineering activities through internal / external partnerships & work with global R&D teams for new product development

  • Deliver stable process set-up with attention to process control, quality control item considering product properties, analytical fingerprinting, etc.

  • Provide training to research assistants and sales representative

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering protocol’s, and process documentation

  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and commitment to safe procedures and operation

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or master degree by training in the field of Chemistry or Polymer or Chemical Engineering or Material Science and Engineering, or master degree with relevant research experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in research and development area, understand the product development cycle from idea generation, proof of concept, development, testing to product launch and continuous improvement

  • Experience and knowledge in electrochemistry or chemicals/polymers analytical methods will be a plus

  • Experience and knowledge in electrolytic plating and HVM (high volume manufacturing) operations, e.g. Bath-life extension, CVS (cyclic Voltammetric Stripping) methodology development, SPC (statistical process control) protocols and electrolytic plating tool operations

  • Effective at communicating project updates, plans, activities and results to both team members and management based domestically and internationally

  • Highly motivated and self-directed with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels and across all functions of the organization

  • Position could require travel to both domestic and international locations in support of products, customers and partners

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated use of statistics and design of experiments (DOE) principles

Skills Required
