Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Manager to lead and oversee all electrical maintenance, utility operations, project execution, and reliability initiatives within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and team management. This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted plant operations, compliance with safety standards, and continuous improvement in electrical performance and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Operations

  • Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ensure maximum uptime and reliability of electrical assets, including transformers, switchgear, motors, drives, and control panels.
  • Monitor electrical system performance and implement improvement measures.
  • Develop and execute maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.

Project Management

  • Manage electrical projects involving installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modernization of equipment.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure adherence to maintenance objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development needs.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive initiatives related to reliability improvement, energy conservation, and operational excellence.
  • Implement TPM, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct electrical safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification programs.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and maintain necessary documentation and certifications.

Energy Management

  • Monitor plant energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings.
  • Implement energy-efficient technologies and practices to optimize operational costs.
  • Track key electrical performance indicators and prepare regular reports.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Prepare and manage maintenance and project budgets.
  • Control operating costs without compromising reliability or safety.
  • Manage vendor relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and oversee procurement of electrical spares and equipment.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Electrical Safety, Energy Management, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or TPM.
  • Experience with high-voltage systems and utility management.
  • Knowledge of ISO, EHS, and statutory compliance frameworks.
