Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Translate electrical requirements into system architecture and hardware architecture, detailed interface specifications, and build/test plans.
  • Provide technical expertise for electrical equipment across the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), from order through delivery.
  • Perform electrical analysis and calculations (power distribution, signal integrity, grounding, load flow, etc.).
  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Support fielded test equipment hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Create and review technical drawings, procedures, specifications, statements of work, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, troubleshooting, and resolutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cost reductions, and reliability improvements.

An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Years of related experience: 5+ for level 4, 10+ for level 5.
  • Experience testing or troubleshooting electronics or electrical systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB.
  • Experience with National Instrument's Lab-View and Test-Stand software.
  • Schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design experience with Altium, Mentor Graphics Siemens, or other drafting CAD tools.
  • Experience utilizing lab electronic testing tools (Digital Multimeter [DMM], Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Function Generator, ...).
  • Active Security Clearance.

Typical Education & Experience:
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range:
Level 4: 136,850 to $185,150
Level 5: $164,900 to $223,100
