The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for validation and testing of embedded inflight entertainment and telecommunications system products. This position is responsible for working as part of a tightly integrated development team, testing and review of digital, analog, and RF hardware and developing functional test methods. Additional responsibilities include wire drawing creation, board bring up, verification/validation testing, technical documentation, failure analysis, and sustainment activities of current circuits and systems.

How will you make a difference?
- Test of High-speed digital signals, including PCI, PCIe, SATA, USB, HDMI, Display Port, Gigabit Ethernet, Memory (DDR3/DDR4) and FPGA SOC’s.
- Qualification and certification testing (DO-160, DO-254, FCC).
- High level of technical writing capabilities
- Create and release technical diagrams, wire drawings, and other technical documentation using SolidWorks or similar CAD programs
- Support the hardware/software design from early prototype development to release of product, including:
- Write and execute board and system level bring up, testing and debug
- Develop and support hardware test methodologies for in-house operations
- Electrical component release and BOM management using PLM systems
- Be willing and able to take any task and complete with limited oversight
- Collaborate effectively in a small team environment
- Have a critical and scientific approach to solving technical problems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of rugged hardware and/or avionics experience preferred
Required Skills, Talents, & Experience
- Familiarity with CAD tools to design technical diagrams and wiring drawings
- Coax and wire harness building experience
- Avionics industry, DO-160, or MIL-STD testing experience
- Familiarity of PC architecture, interfaces, and peripherals
- Familiarity with lab equipment for design and troubleshooting exercises, including Oscilloscopes, DMM, Programmable power supplies, and spectrum analyzers
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating system environments
Preferred Skills, Talents, & Experience
- Familiarity with electrical schematic simulation tools preferred.
- Familiarity with DO-254 process preferred
- Coding and/or scripting experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft software tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
