About the company
Our client is a hardware and software technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design, build and validate electronic hardware for devices that operate unattended outdoors. Spend time both in the lab and in the field, strengthening designs so they are dependable and ready for larger production volumes. Work alongside firmware, operations and software colleagues.
What you'll do
- Take circuit boards from first schematic through layout, prototyping, production handoff and real-world use.
- Debug and verify designs at the lab bench using oscilloscopes, bench power supplies and similar instruments.
- Make devices more dependable and easier to produce as the number of installed units grows, within strict energy constraints.
- Write low-level code in C/C++ or Python to bring up boards and run verification checks.
- Coordinate with firmware, operations and software teammates on shared goals.
- Travel about once a quarter to support on-site installations and calibration.

- Strong PCB layout skills in Altium or a comparable design tool.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ or Python for device firmware and automated testing.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
