ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

1.    Execute Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) and provide Electrical Engineering services for projects lead by others to:
a.    Improve safety
b.    Reduce cost by improving productivity and reducing waste
c.    Improve product quality
d.    Improve equipment reliability
2.    Troubleshoot reoccurring equipment problems and implement long term improvements
3.    Support production in a factory environment using electrical engineering skills
4.    Use creativity to generate improvement ideas and solutions to problems that improves MEEF.
5.    Learn by experience working with robots, automated equipment, and complex processing lines
6.    Work with in-house experienced electrical engineers to grow technical knowledge for more complex future work

Qualifications:
1.    Bachelor of Science in an Electrical Engineering Discipline (BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering Technology required)
2.    3 to 5 years in Electrical Engineering process-based experience in manufacturing
3.    Strong teamwork, people skills, and communications skills
4.    Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
5.    Experience with and understanding of industrial machine controls including PLC, HMI screens, electrical drives & motors, photo eyes, prox switches, solenoid valves
6.    Proficient with Auto CAD
7.    Programming and configuration of control systems required.
8.    Proven experience in project execution is preferred.
9.    Knowledgeable in SCADA (i.e. Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk) for historical data collection.
10.    Strong Siemens PLC & HMI experience, along with Allen-Bradley & Rockwell/AB,etc.

Carrying:  (Occasional) Employee must be able to complete front or side carries of copy paper weighing up to 10 pounds for distances up to 15 feet.

Pushing/Pulling:   (Occasional) Employee must be able to generate push force and pull force of 30 pounds to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as maintaining an organized and clean workspace.

Forward Bending:  (Occasional) Employee must be able to attain/maintain a forward flexed position of up to 60 degrees to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as loading paper into copier tray and maintaining an organized and clean workspace.  

Trunk Rotation: (Occasional) Employee must be able to rotate their trunk/torso left-right in a standing and seated position to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as working at desk and maintaining an organized and clean workspace.  

Reaching:  (Frequent) Employee must be able to forward reach to a shoulder level of up to 48 inches to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as entering data into computer, answering phones and maintaining an organized and clean workspace.  

Manipulating/Handling/Gripping:  (Occasional) Employee must be able complete gripping, pinching and manipulation of various pieces of equipment to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as entering data into computer, answering phones and maintaining an organized and clean workspace. A grip force of 30 pounds is necessary for the completion of tasks.
