Job Description

  • Undertake electrical system overall design for offshore platforms, marine modules, oil & gas processing equipment and related supporting facilities.
  • Complete electrical schematic drawing, layout drawing, power distribution design, control system design and lighting system design independently.
  • Carry out electrical equipment type selection, parameter confirmation, cable routing design and load calculation, optimize design scheme to control engineering cost.
  • Compile electrical technical specifications, design instructions, bidding technical documents and test acceptance standards.
  • Review junior engineers’ design drawings and technical documents, put forward optimization opinions and standardize design work.
  • Communicate and confirm technical requirements with clients, supervise party and third-party organizations, respond to technical inquiries and complete design clarification.
  • Track manufacturing, assembly and offshore construction progress, provide professional on-site electrical technical guidance, solve on-site technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with instrument, mechanical, piping and other majors to ensure cross-specialty design consistency and construction matching.
  • Familiar with offshore hazardous area electrical design requirements, strictly implement explosion-proof, anti-corrosion, marine environment adaptation design standards.
  • Sort out project electrical technical data, summarize design experience, and promote the improvement of internal design standards.

Qualifications

  • Electrical engineering-related major, bachelor's degree or above, fluent in English reading and writing.
  • Over 8 years of detailed design experience in the oil and gas construction industry in the field of electrical engineering.
  • Be familiar with international standards and specifications for engineering design in the offshore oil and gas industry.
  • More than 2 years of experience in managing a detailed team of instrumentation professionals in the oil and gas industry.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering or a related major
  • Fluent English reading and writing skills
  • More than 8 years of detailed electrical engineering design experience in the oil and gas construction industry
  • Familiarity with international offshore oil and gas engineering design standards and specifications
  • More than 2 years of experience managing a detailed instrumentation team in the oil and gas industry
