As we expand our operations in Germany, we are excited to grow our Seat Integration Teams, focusing on unique seat certification and integration for all Boeing aircraft models as line fit or retrofit.
We are looking for you in Hamburg, Germany as an
Electrical Engineer for Seat Integration (Experienced or Senior level / CVE) (M/F/D)

In this role you will:
  • Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements and solutions for commercial aircraft passenger seats.
  • Review data from our suppliers for integration approval of seats into the airframe from electrical point of view, including the review of seat electrical drawings, diagrams and equipment qualification data.
  • Define, draft and review documentation for the design and certification of aircraft seating products, including but not limited to:
    • Wiring diagrams,
    • 3D Electrical Installation Models
    • Qualification Test Plans and Reports
    • System Safety Analysis
    • Equipment Qualification
    • EWIS Compliance
  • Collaborate closely with Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities to ensure the aircraft cabin is modified in a safe and compliant manner
  • Collaborate closely with the aircraft Type-Certificate holder to ensure seamless integration of seating products into the aircraft, at or following delivery
  • Supervises supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

What you bring to the table:
Basic qualifications (Experienced - Level 3):
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering) or higher degree in engineering
  • You have 5+ years of experience in Aerospace industry within a Design or Production Organization (EASA or FAA approved)

Additionally preferred skills (Experienced - Level 3):
  • Experience: Current or recent appointment as a Design Review or Verification Engineer (DVE/DRE) with terms of approval relevant to the electrical discipline
  • Knowledge: You can demonstrate experience with aircraft interior modification programs especially on the electrical aspect of seat integration, with a high level of attention to detail. You have knowledge and experience working with RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-178C, RTCA DO-254-and System Safety Assessment.
  • Collaboration: You have experience in leading complex projects (development and execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk and/or issues management, etc.) including influencing team members and stakeholders (suppliers, customers, solution providers) involved and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff.
  • Tools: Experience with navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards and have worked with our most important tools: Catia V5 / V6, ENOVIA, IVT, AutoCAD.
  • Personality: You are a principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety and accountability, always striving for the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct.   • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering) or higher degree in engineering
  • You have 10+ years of experience in Aerospace industry within a Design or Production Organization
  • Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) in an EASA Design Organization or as an engineering Unit Member (e-UM) in an FAA Design Organization for Electrical/Avionics in current or previous role

Additionally preferred skills (Senior Level 4 / CVE):
  • Knowledge: You can demonstrate high levels of experience with aircraft interior modification programs especially on the electrical aspect of seat integration, with a high level of attention to detail. You have detailed knowledge and experience working with RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-178C, RTCA DO-254-and System Safety Assessment.
  • Collaboration: You have experience in leading complex projects (development and execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk and/or issues management, etc.) including influencing team members and stakeholders (suppliers, customers, solution providers) involved and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff.
