About the Opportunity:
The Life Fitness Internship Program 2025 is now accepting applicants in their junior and senior year. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as summer interns. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering/Power and Motion Controls and develop valuable skills and contribute to Life Fitness' mission and goals.
Successful applicants will be assigned meaningful and challenging work suitable for their background. The program advisor(s) and mentors will meet with you regularly to identify and develop your summer objectives. All positions are PAID, hybrid schedule, and based in the Chicagoland area. The Internship Program will run for 11-weeks. NOT AVAILABLE FOR REMOTE OPPORTUNITY.
Responsibilities:

Actively contribute and have an impact in a business-critical project.

Perform day-to-day duties and responsibilities in related field or business function.

Collaborate with fellow interns on an 11-week-long group case study and present the results to senior leaders, stakeholders, and managers.

Attend and participate in team meetings.

Assist in debug and test process of a new circuit board design.
-
Use lab equipment like oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and voltage/current meters to validate circuit boards.

Work with embedded software, test, mechanical and reliability engineering on any issues that arise throughout the design process.
Requirements:

Must reside in Chicagoland area.

Currently enrolled in full-time bachelor’s degree program, graduating in 2026 or 2027.

Strong academic standing preferred, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Initiative, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $19.00 - $24.00 and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual base pay will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. The range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
Life Fitness / Hammer Strength offers a valuable and enriching experience for our interns. Depending on the duration and timing of the internship, interns may be entitled to paid holidays during their assignment. Additionally, interns are eligible for paid sick leave in accordance with state and local paid sick leave laws. Eligibility for benefits is governed by the applicable plan documents and policies.
