We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing design team in our Raleigh, NC office. In this design role, you will represent Syska Hennessy Group and work in close contact and effectively interact with the Internal Design team as well as external clients and consultants. Individuals in this position must demonstrate the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

Job Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating basic designs under the direction of a Senior Engineer. You will also develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects of different sizes.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Conducts field inspections to determine existing conditions and to coordinate new work then assists Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis and other technical reports and drawings.
- Coordinates with other disciplines and work in close contact with the entire design team
- Creates basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer perform equipment selections, load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes.
- Master’s drawing organization format and company standards.
Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Electrical Engineer role should have the ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination of the production of detailed drawings. Someone who exhibits a basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to our building designs would be a good fit for this dynamic role.
Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution
- Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience working in a consulting firm
- Experience in Life Sciences projects preferred
- E.I.T.
- LEED AP, highly preferred
- REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience
- Proficient in design and calculation software

The salary range listed below is for this particular job posting. Actual pay range for candidates will be commensurate with candidate’s experience, skillsets and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular location.
