This position requires a strong understanding of the impact of product changes on live and released products in order to develop and release work packs (Electrical Schematics, BOMs, Work Instructions, Manuals, and other documentation) for the wider Operations and Product Management teams to deploy.
Responsibilities
Undertake daily engineering tasks and solve complex technical challenges related to design and documentation changes.
Develop new and/or improve existing electrical and electromechanical designs as required.
Maintaining design documentation, electrical schematics, single line diagrams, 3D CAD models, and Bill of Materials for various products.
Working with the Change Manager and all impacted stakeholders to develop change rollout plans.
Support NPI (New Product Introductions) project teams in the technical transfer process.
Supporting production engineering and manufacturing teams for new product launch and change implementation.
Gathering feedback from production and after-sales support teams regarding possible design improvements and implementation of design improvements.
Qualifications
Technical / Engineering qualification and at least 3 years of experience with technical and practical competence relating to electrical design for industrial equipment and machinery.
Good understanding of electrical engineering and manufacturing principles & processes.
Good understanding of CE & UL standards related to electrical safety of machinery and equipment.
Commercially aware and able to consider cost impacts on decisions and proposals.
Excellent knowledge of E-Plan and electrical design best practices for industrial equipment and machinery.
Ability to work outside normal office hours due to differing time zones and occasional travel
