As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.

  • In some applications, support development of circuit card assemblies.

  • Learn implementation of electrical wiring design practices.

  • Support the testing and validation of electrical/electronic systems and components.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met.

  • Document technical designs, test procedures, and results.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of electrical/electronic circuits and systems.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.

  • Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles.

  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

  • Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.

  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Internship or project experience in electrical engineering.

  • Familiarity with  Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.

  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

  • Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.

  • Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

  • Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.

  • Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.

  • Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.

  • Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.

  • Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.

  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
